The Isle (Legacy)

Introduction

Here we will show you how to set up your The Isle Legacy game server, how to change the players' player.json and how to set up "The Isle Manager".

Settings

Game.ini

Path: /home/container/TheIsle/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/Game.ini

The server can be set up in the Game.ini file

  • Add an invitation link of your Discord server at ServerDiscord=herethelink.

  • Add your Steam-ID to ServerAdmins=hereyourID to be an admin. You can also write this line several times below each other if there are several admins.

The number of the player.json is the Steam ID of the player!!

Command

Description

/kick [player name] [reason]

Remove a player from the server for a specific reason.

/kickid [steam id] [reason]

Remove a player from the server using their SteamID.

/ban [player name] [hours] [reason]

Ban a player from the server for a specified number of hours.

/banid [Steam id] [hours] [reason]

Ban a player using their SteamID.

/unban [Steam id]

Unban a player.

/announce [message]

Make an announcement that everyone can see.

/heal [player name]

Relieve a broken leg, hunger, and thirst.

/slay [player's name]

Kill a player, useful if someone wants to change Dinos.

/goto [player name]

Teleport you to a specific player, useful if someone is stuck.

/bring [player's name]

Teleport a player to your location.

/time [hour in military time]

Change the time within the game.

/grow [player name]

Take you or another player to the next stage of growth (You still need to click "Grow"). The player is automatically healed.

/weather [condition]

Change the weather.

Spectator Mode

To enter the spectator mode you have to press the spectator key (default: backslash).

You can change the Spectator key in Settings -> Controls under "Other".

To teleport using the Spectator, fly to your desired position, get as close to the ground as possible, look down and press Spectator Key + Left Shift

The Isle Manager

The Isle Manager provides an online documentation that explains how to set up the Isle Manager with the Filezilla Client. Please note that this guide only focuses on the usage of the Isle Manager and does not provide assistance with setting up game servers or server-side issues. For such cases, please reach out to the official game developers or your hosting provider.

The documentation includes information on setting up the bot, connecting to your FTP server, copying player folder URLs, and configuring the bot to work with your server. Additionally, you will find troubleshooting information in case you encounter any connection or setup issues.

Using FTP-System

To connect to your server using FTP, log in to mygameplatform.com and navigate to My Servers > Panel > Startup.
